June 28 2008  - Jane-Finch.com founders Paul Nguyen and Mark Simms visited Malvern Public Library as guest speakers for the My Roots "Express Yourself" workshops program.

Paul and Mark shared some behind the scenes process about making the CBC documentary "Lost in the Struggle" and how it was working with the CBC.

Paul and Mark talked about producing music videos and their experiences growing up in the Jane-Finch area.

Paul and Mark discussed why they started Jane-Finch.com and the motivation behind it. They compared the similarities of the Malvern community to Jane and Finch. They also encouraged the youth in attendance to get involved in their communities and gave tips on how to start their own projects and some of the issues they faced.
