Building Bridges:
Empowering the Rising Generation

Ottawa, November 27, 2010 —
Paul Nguyen was a keynote speaker at the Vietnamese Canadian
Federation's national youth conference, Building Bridges:
Empowering the Rising Generation. Paul shared his
experiences growing up and working in the Jane-Finch
community. Paul talked about the benefits and challenges
about using social media to change neighborhood stereotypes
as well as engaging at-risk youth.
Several hundred Vietnamese
youth from across Canada attended the various workshops,
activities and gala dinner. The 3-day event was organized by
the Vietnamese Canadian Federation in conjunction with the
Vietnamese Youth Action Committee and sponsored by
Citizenship and Immigration Canada.
