Toronto, November 6, 2010 —
Paul Nguyen was honoured among 6 recipients at the 32nd
Annual Canadian Ethnic Media Association (CEMA) awards for
excellence in print, radio, television and the internet. The
Awards Gala was hosted by OMNI TV personality Lucy Zilio and
OMNI News: Mandarin Edition host Wei Lee.
"We are again proud to reaffirm the importance of
multilingual expression that reflects the reality of Canada
and serves the diverse audiences of this country," says
Madeline Ziniak, Chair of CEMA and National Vice President
of OMNI Television. "CEMA remains unsurpassed in its ongoing
recognition and celebration of excellence in Canadian
ethnocultural media in a contemporary context."
The CEMA Awards Gala was held inside the Trillium Ballroom
at the Holiday Inn Toronto International Airport Hotel. The
evening included diverse entertainment and the presentation
of the awards. The awards gala aired on all OMNI stations
across Canada on December 5, 2010 at 8:00 p.m.
