Toronto, March 16, 2013 - The
Vietnamese Women's Association of Toronto hosted the Trung
Sisters Commemorative Ceremony at the Oakdale Community
Centre in the Jane-Finch area. The Trung Sisters were
leaders who rebelled against Chinese rule and regarded as
national heroines of Vietnam.
Featuring interviews with the
President of the Vietnamese Women's Association of Toronto,
Emillie Nguyen, Trung Sisters ceremony organizer, Lê Kháng
Ngọc Quyên, and Vietnamese Canadian Federation Commissioner
of External Affairs, Dr. Le Duy Can.
